Four podiums at Donington for Pirtek backed VX Racing
VX Racing sponsored by Pirtek hold the lead in the Manufacturers/Constructors championship with four podium finishes for the team’s three drivers at the Donington round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship this weekend. Matt Neal extended his lead in the Drivers’ standings to 13 points, with two podium finishes, Andrew Jordan recorded his first second place finish in BTCC, while reigning champion Fabrizio Giovanardi salvaged just one third position from the three races.

Pirtek backed VXRacing Celebrates Podium Sweep
Pirtek backed VX Racing claimed a podium sweep in the first race of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship event at Thruxton circuit. Fabrizio Giovanardi led his team mates home with Matt Neal in second place and Andrew Jordan in third position.
For the opening race Giovanardi started from pole with Neal beside him on the front row. Despite carrying the maximum success ballast of 45 kgs, Neal stayed ahead of third placed driver Jason Plato off the line. Andrew Jordan started fourth, but snatched third within the first few corners. Determined not to relinquish the all-VX Racing podium Jordan defended hard, fending off Plato in the opening laps and pulling away from his rivals. Pirtek backed VXRacing prepares for the Thruxton Thriller

Mike and Andrew Jordan drew large crowds to Pirtek at SED
Pirtek-backed racing drivers Mike and Andrew Jordan had visitors queuing out of the Pirtek exhibition stand at SED at Rockingham in May. The two British Touring Car Championship racers were on hand to sign autographs to visitors and also did a live interview with SED radio. David Richardson of RD Kearton & Sons in Country Durham was the lucky winner to two VIP tickets to Silverstone as guest of Pirtek.
